I heard Windows Media Center was great, so I installed it on a PC that was doing nothing. It looks ok, but there’s a major flaw: It doesn’t know what to do with Ogg Vorbis, AAC or FLAC files.
I have nearly 50GB of music (about 4500 tracks), most of which is in Ogg Vorbis, AAC or FLAC format.
I tried installing a DirectShow filter for Ogg Vorbis, but this made no difference.
So it’s a ‘Media Center’ - but I can’t play my media. Perhaps I’ll have a look at MythTV, then.
