This site is built upon Ramaze and Sequel.
The visual design of the site is split into two using separate stylesheets. For display on a 'small' screen, a minimal stylesheet is used. I found it easiest to handle my website from my mobile phone this way; the lack of frills also saves me money as my mobile provider charges a stupid amount for bandwidth.
The 'normal' layout is designed to be low-bandwidth, functional yet attractive. I prefer simplicity and elegance in design, so this design is attractive in my estimation, apart from the picture of myself.
XHTML on this website does not use presentational markup. Presentation is exclusively controlled by CSS2. This site is designed to be viewed using any web browser. That includes braille and text-to-speech browsers. That doesn’t mean vaguely readable, either. It means designed to be used that way.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
There is an exception to the above rule: The AIWS forum is run on software which was made by someone less idealistic. The main requirement I used when selecting forum software was that it should have no reported security holes. Accessibility unfortunately has to come second to site security.
