Introduction
The KDE project has an RC5 cracking team. We aren’t very far off the top 100 in the world. We’re not going to hit #1, but it would be great if we could get into the top 100. Please help !
How to help
Go to distributed.net and download the appropriate client for your platform.
Configure the client to work on RC5 only. From the main menu, select 2) Buffer and Buffer Update Options then 9) Load-work precedence. Set this to RC5,DES=0,CSC=0,OGR=0 to ensure only RC5 is worked on.
Start the client running. Wait a couple of days, then go to stats.distributed.net and search for your id (email address).
Click on the link that mails you your password, pick it up from your mailbox, then go to the KDE distributed.net stats team page and click on the "I want to join this team!" link.
Within a day or so, your computer(s) will be donating to the KDE effort!
