This story talks about blogs being used to launch software (malware) attacks, but fails to mention what it is about blogs as opposed to, say, a company website, that makes them more suitable for launching such attacks.
I expect that most readers of this story will come away thinking that blogs are somehow a Bad Thing, and that there’s something technical which makes them great hosts for malware.
This would, of course, be completely the wrong impression, as the trick is a social one, but the story fails to point this out.
Such an oversight strikes me as being either editorial ham-fistedness, or deliberate intent to misinform.
